Not cursed enough

MrGoldenPeen

Oh look we got professor cursed over here. All knowing and shit 🙌

DouchNozzle_REAL

"Uncle did bad thing to me!1!" Is REALLY par for the course when it comes to cursed comments, the bar is honestly so low when it comes to these comments that no, it's not really cursed.

MrGoldenPeen

I didnt say my uncle I said my brother lol

DouchNozzle_REAL

Look at the thread, nobody responded to your brother comment 🤷‍♀️ You responded to a different thread

MrGoldenPeen

Your username speaks for itself, I bet you smell like taco meat 24/7

DouchNozzle_REAL

Just pointing out that you're responding to a different thread

It took you 9 years?

That is, until Magnitude comes out of nowhere and says it organically when you weren't expecting it. Right?

Crazy-Cupcake955

It was bhaskaracharya Woh discovered gravity first not Issack Newton

Shikaka42

Sauce

Crazy-Cupcake955

In the ” Surya Siddhant ” he makes a note on the force of gravity: “Objects fall on earth due to a force of attraction by the earth. Therefore, the earth, planets, constellations, moon, and sun are held in orbit due to this attraction.”

FeistyKnight

Fellow indian here. Newton doesn't get credit for 'discovering' gravity. He gets credit for mathematically explaing and hence *proving* the existance of gravity. Which is a much bigger deal

Crazy-Cupcake955

Okay, ask anyone, "who 'discovered' gravity?" People always say Newton, not bhaskaracharya. That's my point.

XElliot25

In the scientific community, discovering means proving a concept by maths and observation. Simply saying « this and that happens so this should happen here too » isn’t an actual discovery it’s an idea. Not even a theory since it’s not backed by a few mathematical concepts

Crazy-Cupcake955

1.Mathematics and theory are total different things. 2. theories comes from observation of things. 3. Issack Newton just proved the theory of bhaskaracharya by help of numbers. 4. The theory of bhaskaracharya is not invalid on basis of science. And if science Community only relays on numbers but not observations then that just means that you're calling scientists idiots. 5. Also, this comment makes you look idiot. 6. You can't change the fact that bhaskaracharya discovered Gravity not Newton.

FeistyKnight

Stop embarassing yourself. Literally every single statement is wrong. 1. Mathematics and theorems are totally different? Wtf? Mathematics is the basis for most theories 2/3. Bhaskaracharya never put forward a theory of gravity. He put forward an idea. As did many others. A theory isn't just observation. 4 . No clue what you're trying to say on this one 5 . Irony 6 . Replied to you in another comment

Crazy-Cupcake955

1. Theorems and theories are not same you stupid ass. 2/3. He put in his books.

FeistyKnight

He didn't, literally look it up. What you are describing is neither a theorem nor a theory just an idea

XElliot25

Also see who has the upvotes and who hasn’t maybe it should open your eyes a bit

Crazy-Cupcake955

For me truth is everything. Not open for more comments on this.

XElliot25

now this is a comment that makes you look like an idiot

FeistyKnight

'Truth' lmao

FeistyKnight

Discover is not the right term. No one discovered gravity, gravity was always there. Lots of people around the world probably said that a force *must* exist because things fall to the ground. Bhaskaracharya's idea for it be the cause of orbits is definitely impressive but that was all it was, just an idea Newton was the one who showed that it *did* exist, and used mathematics to prove it with never seen before accuracy.

Crazy-Cupcake955

Discovery means something that has been found* Means even if there is something but you don't know about it you can discover it. I really feel bad that I have to explain 1st standard things to people who can access internet. >Lots of people around the world probably said that a force must exist because things fall to the ground. But they did not wrote it and then teach it. So, their contribution is nothing without their actions. >Newton was the one who showed that it did exist, Bhaskaracharya was the one who gave knowledge about gravity, calculated the time taken by the earth to orbit the sun 365.258 days. He also discovered principles on astronomy and Calculus, also gave speed of light. You really need to read his works.

FeistyKnight

Not in the scientific world. J J Thomson wasn't credited with the *discovery* of electrons when he theorised they existed. He was credited with it after scientifically and mathematically proving it's existence. I am quite familiar with bhaskaracharya. He was a mathematical genius and developed notions of basic calculus 100s of years before Newton and Leibinitz. But crediting him for the "discocery of gravity" is disenginous.

Crazy-Cupcake955

Man, he gave knowledge about Gravity. This is a fact and I'm not gonna argue more.

FeistyKnight

Mate, national pride is good but there's a limit. Bhaskaracharya was a genius. One of the greatest mathematical minds to ever live BUT gravity Isn't his to claim. Simply stating 'There must be a force' is not knowledge. Newton's proofs completely chanfed everything that came before it and formed the basis for classical physics. He was the first to prove the existence of gravity. Up until that point people just assumed a force existed because it had to.

gonsama

And they are right.

Toolegit2legit

Sounds like Indian nationalism to me

FeistyKnight

Would like to add that bhaskaracharya was the most prominent mathematician of the 12th century. Integral to the development of the decimal system, the idea of Zero, quadratic equations, and even rudimentary calculus. Dude was a genius

FeistyKnight

It isn't lmao. That being said bhaskaracharya simply stated that a force like this must exist. Which is a conclusion that many ancient scientists would've come to. Newton was able to mathematically explain and prove the existance of gravity. Which is a much bigger deal

Crazy-Cupcake955

Then, read the whole source (book), you'll find it.

Hexphaseon

I guess this format might start to pick up traction thanks to the Snyder cut.

IGuessyoucanCallme

Lol

Zaclac

Issac Newton discovering gravity at 40, me discovering gravity at 1, but it cost me brain damage.

nutrap

I’d like to buy some brain damage. Then I could be on track to discover vaccines when I was 48 like Edward Jenner instead of an when I actually did as an infant.

Mr_refrigerator-

love it

Dabbing-jesus

smh what an idiot

pathetic-kid

My mom discovered it qhen i was 5 months old, i ended up having a brain damage

Dhrutube

oh my sorry to hear that

Dhrutube

seriously I mean people were dumb
